| MICHAEL AIMING FOR VICTORY AT HOME RACE
Round 3 of the Production Car National Championships takes place at Scribante, Port Elizabeth, on the 1 May 2010. In the previous round at Killarney, Michael put in a good performance despite having some technical difficulties and lies a solid 3rd in the championship standings.
Scribante is Michael's home race and he will definitely be going all out for the WIN in all three races. With some regulation changes being implemented after Killarney, the team have done some development work on the car have and made a good step forward. Apart from Scribante being Michael's home track, Scribante has always been a track that has rewarded him with success. A key factor at the race will be His Engen Xtreme 4-wheel drive Audi, will certainly come into good use on the tight and twisty track.
Quote " I am really optimistic about the upcoming weekend. The team have put in a tremendous effort over the last few weeks and testing before the race proved very successful. We have sorted out our problems that we had in Cape Town and I will be going all out to obtain pole position and win all three races! I'm sure the 335 BMW's will be fast at Scribante, but with our 4-wheel drive Audi, our race pace and consistency on the abrasive Scribante tar should favour us, especially in the third race of the day which is slightly longer. I think my biggest threat will come from Johan Fourie in a similar Audi, but I am confident that we can come out tops on the weekend."
Michael is looking forward to meeting his fans at the Scribante race track on Saturday 1 May 2010. Posters and signing sessions will occur during the day at the Engen Xtreme Tent. |
